Tech Days August 10-11, 2015

The Technology Department will be holding their 2nd Annual Tech Days on August 10th and 11th for staff.   This year the main focus will be IC, with a half day for IC Boot Camp showcasing Standards, and Google. Each session held on the 10th will be repeated on the 11th.  We strongly encourage all teachers to attend one of the boot camp sessions.

Please sign up for a Tech Day as soon as possible.  Registration can be found here.
Sessions for both days are as follows:

Morning Sessions

  • IC Standards Boot Camp
Ready to get your sea legs with standards-based grading? This session is designed to get the middle and high school teachers ready to hit the ground running this fall.

  • IC Basics/Google Basics
Are you a new teacher to MSAD 6? Or perhaps you'd like a refresher on IC Campus Instruction before we start this fall? During the first part of this session, we'll be doing just that and then we'll be covering the basics of Google such as Gmail, Calendar, and Drive in the second half.

Afternoon Sessions

  • Beginner Classroom
Have you heard about Google Classroom? It has revolutionized how teachers manage their students digital work while reducing or even eliminating the endless "Shared with you" emails. In this session, you'll get familiar with this super easy tool and get ready to use it with your students this fall.

  • Blogger
Do you have a website, but find it cumbersome to keep up to date? Or perhaps you'd like to have one site for your grade/clan/team? Blogger can help! Come and learn how you can easily create a blog to keep your students and parents informed about what is going on.

  • Advanced Classroom/Drive (Doctopus/Goobric)
Have you been using Google Classroom and/or Drive with your students already? In this session, we'll cover how to automatically grade quizzes, use rubrics for grading, create form letters, give voice feedback... the options are limitless with Google Add-Ons! We'll also discuss how to use Classroom more for those of you who are past the basics and are ready to go more in depth.
We look forward to seeing you there!
